OUR SAFETY STORY

It all began in 1888 in the small French town of Oyannax. The Bollé family was a manufacturer of combs and hair ornaments, popular objects of the day made largely from rather primitive materials such as native boxwood and animal hair! Compelled to innovate, the family members soon began to utilize a newly developed celluloid as the basis for all of their products.
In 1937 Bollé created its first collection of sunglasses and optical frames.
By 1950, Bollé expanded its creativity and developed the first range of safety spectacles and goggles. With over 50 years experience in the manufacture and supply of safety eyewear and available in over 40 countries, with applications ranging from the cleanest to the dirtiest environments including construction, mining, manufacturing and medical, Bollé Safety continues at the forefront of design and innovation by offering affordable, protective eyewear that people want to wear! Style, quality, fit and performance will continue to be the hallmarks of the Bollé brand. While we continue to innovate, others imitate!
